HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER?
As a guide, we generally book up approx 6-8 weeks in advance for custom order cakes, especially for weekends. This may vary throughout the year though so feel free to contact us with your enquiry anyway and we can check our availability for you. We can book in cakes up to 12 months in advance, and for weddings we recommend having your cake booked in by the 6 month mark. Cupcakes and cheesecakes can generally be done with a little less notice (1-4 weeks), but again this varies. We have a limited number of spaces available for custom orders each week so please enquire early to avoid disappointment.
HOW MUCH WILL MY CAKE COST?
All of our cakes are custom made to each clients specifications, so we don't have a standard price list as such. The below should only be used as a guide. Each cake is custom quoted based on what design you'd like, so please use our contact page to send through your enquiry.
One Tier Cake - from $145
Two Tier Cake - from $295
Three Tier Cake - from $595
Four Tier Cake - from $695
Regular Cupcakes - from $54 per dozen
Mini Cupcakes - from $27 per dozen
HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?
Your cake will come fully enclosed in a cake box. The best way to transport your cake in the car is to have it flat in the boot, passenger foot well or held flat on someones lap. Non slip mats are great to place between the floor and the cake box to ensure the cake doesn't slide around. Please don't put you cake on the seat! It's way to easy for them to slide off and then your cake will be ruined.
DO YOU DELIVER?
Yes we do! All wedding cakes are delivered by us, and set up at the venue. Pricing for this will be included in your wedding cake quote. We can deliver other cakes on occasion if you require it. Please specify in your enquiry if you are needing your cake delivered, and where to, so we can add the appropriate delivery fee onto you quote.
SHOULD I STORE THE CAKE IN THE FRIDGE?
Depending on when you are eating your cake, yes. All of our cakes are best eaten when the the icing has had a chance to soften, so its best to have your cake sitting out for an hour or so (depending on the temperature) before you want to eat it. If you are picking your cake up the day before your event, it's best to keep the cake in the fridge overnight to keep it and its decorations fresh.
DO YOU MAKE FONDANT CAKES?
No, never! We are a strictly FONDANT FREE ZONE. We work only with buttercream as this is what we specialise in. We do use modelling chocolate on occasion, and in small amounts, when we need to create certain decorations, but this is never used to cover cakes.
CAN YOU SUPPLY THE CAKE TOPPER?
Yes we certainly can! We work with the talented team at Zoo+Co to create epic cake toppers for a lot of our customers. We carry a range of standard toppers but can also completely customise toppers to suit your needs and theme. Make sure to mention in your enquiry if you are interested in adding a topper to your cake!
WHEN/HOW DO WE PAY FOR THE CAKE?
Once you have been given your quote, if you'd like to go ahead and book your cake in you will need to pay a 50% deposit. This will secure your spot on this date and ensure that we can create your amazing customised cake! Wedding cakes need to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the date of your event. All cakes getting collected from the studio cake either be paid in full prior to collection or the remainder can be paid at the studio when you pick the cake up.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
The 50% deposit that you have paid to lock you cake order in is strictly non refundable. If you have paid for your cake in full and then need to cancel it, you may be eligible to receive some of the total back, however this will depend on how close to the date you have cancelled as we may not be able to fill the spot left open by your cancellation. In some cases you may be able to postpone your cake to another date, if this suits, however this is dependent on our availability for dates.
DO YOU OFFER CAKE TASTINGS?
Yes, for wedding cakes we do offer cake tasting appointments. These are are great opportunity to come in and meet with Ashley, taste some of the flavours you are interested in and chat about the specifics of the design that you are wanting us to create for you. Tasting appointments are arranged after you have received an initial quote for your cake. Please send us through an enquiry to get this process started.
CAN YOU MAKE US A DESSERT BUFFET?
Yes!! We love making dessert buffets! They provided great variety for your guests when it comes to dessert and who doesn't love a mini dessert! Some of the options we can provide are mini cupcakes, macarons, cheesecakes, brownies, slices, tarts and dessert shots. Make sure to express your interest in a dessert buffet when you make your enquiry!
APPAREL +MERCHANISE RETURNS POLICY
There are two reasons you may need to return an item -
1. You purchased the wrong size, or 2. The item is faulty.
You have 14 days after your receive the item to return it to us, the cost of which is yours.
The item must be in original condition, un-worn/un-used, and in the original packaging.
If the item is a exchange of size, please include a prepaid post bag with your return address on in when you return the item to us, and we will send out the new product to you.
If the goods are faulty, we will either replace the item or refund you the cost of item.
